Placed net over fig tree but squrirrels chewed net and ate figs. Do you have a suggestion?

You should try one of the repellents that lists squirrels. GO AWAY Deer & Rabbit Repellent (http://www.bonide.com/products/product. ... ory_id=234) is made from hot pepper and lists squirrels in its list of critters that it works on. There is also a ready to use formulation - http://www.bonide.com/products/product. ... ory_id=230. Try spraying the net and the tree according to the label directions. Good luck!
