millet

Post by alfarnhamjr » Mon Jul 18, 2011 1:44 pm

I want to plant millet for erosion control on a newly landscaped hillside, to control erosion until I plant fescue this Fall. Do I have to rake it in or cover it up; or will it sprout anyway. I can sprinkle every day, if needed.

The millet seed should be covered with about a half inch of soil. Keep the soil moist by watering. A light covering of straw will help to maintain even soil moisture.
